Profiles International was founded in Texas in 1991 and since then they have delivered over 45 000 000 assessments to over 40 000 organizations in 122 countries. It develops employee assessments and talent management solutions to improve employee and manager performance as well as workforce productivity. Their assessments help clients gain a competitive advantage by understanding their people at the deepest levels. This includes how they think; natural tendencies, behaviours, and preferences; and attitudes toward key workplace issues. This helps the clients select the right people, place them in the right roles, and manage them to their full potential.
Bud Haney and Jim Sirbasku founded Profiles International in March 1991. They began working together in 1970 and were business associates in several successful ventures. Profiles International started business with a few assessments licensed from another company, but work began immediately on research and development that has led to the comprehensive suite of occupational assessment products the company offers today. Although they originally talked about being a two-person sales force and a small operation, the cofounders soon discovered a much larger-than-expected market for assessments and began getting other professionals involved. In the years since then, hundreds of people have joined the Profiles International business.
